We had our second full weekend of work on the renovation in Troy, and you can really see the progress.  The first stage is working on a staircase in the back section of the building for an emergency exit, so there’s not much for the public to see yet, but just wait.  If you would like to come in and help with the volunteer renovation, like us on Facebook at for updates.

Professor Farquar’s Great American Medicine Show

Medicine show

In the last few weeks, we’ve seen magicians, storytellers, musicians, and rare birds at the library. Our next big event is Thursday, July 9 at 7pm in Troy.  Professor Farqar’s Great American Medicine Show is a 19th century sideshow featuring music, tall tales, trickery, and entertainment with a historical twist. Bring your lawnchairs or blankets and join us for an evening of entertainment on the lawn of the Tennant-Baker House on the Square in Troy. Special thanks to the Historical Society for letting us use the space.  Great for all ages, kids and adults.
